Problem : 0253: EFI Variable block data was destroyed
I have a Dell Studio 1745 64-bit system running Windows 7. I have started getting this message. No other information. I don’t always get it on start up. My choices are then to Press F1 to skip or F2 to go to Setup.
Solution : 0253: EFI Variable block data was destroyed
googling turns out BIOS issues.
You can try flushing the BIOS (turn PC off (electric power out) and then take the battery out + wait a minute before putting it back on).
