Question : register before download

I sell a book  and user can go to download  my software on mysite
If i generate the code like credite card number then user can use that code to register in mysite before he can
download this will work or not Are there are any open source soft ware to do this

Try this:-

go to start-> run and thype this %userprofile%\local settings\application data\microsoft

locate the windows live contacts folder and delete it
