Question : Desktop Icons Keep Rearranging

I have a user with a Lenovo X200 Tablet PC.  Whenever he boots up and logs into Windows, his screen goes black for a few seconds, then all of his desktop icons are bunched together in the center of the screen.  I have had him adjust his screen resolution, and made sure auto arrange is not checked, yet this keeps happening.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
