Question : How to use VPN for selected applications only

Dear Experts,

I have a situation when i have a VPN from some company like www.purevpn.com.

What happens is when i am connected with VPN, by default all my applications like browsers, messenger etc everything takes the VPN path. What i want is some how take control on which application should go through VPN and which should not. In other words which application will go through my normal ISP and which one will take VPN  path.

There are a few companies providing this through their scripting/dialer for example www.Ivacy.com (look at their VPN installer : http://ivacy.com/en/doc/user/downloads/index)

   I don't believe it is possible specifically on the application level...  If you know the IP that the application connects to, you could specify that with the route.   Otherwise you would need a third-party tool to hack it from the winsock layer.   That is not something trivial and I didn't find anything through a search.  I don't think I can help you further...  you may want to try calling PureVPN's support line and asking if they can recommend a tool for this.
