Question : SQL Full Backups and Trans Backups
experts,
I'm trying to create the following scenario through maintenance plans:
-full backup of databases nightly
- log file backups on the full backups .bak file.
Can someone walk me how to do this please?
Right now, my log file backups are all seperate files which makes it a little more difficult to maintain.
Thanks,
Tom
Answer : SQL Full Backups and Trans Backups
Hmmm...I always create separate log file backups. Why don't you like this? The reason is that it lets me put a time stamp on them, and in the event I need to restore them, its easy to determine the order I need to restore them in.
