Question : asynch sockets
Hi Experts,
I've got a windows service (uses Poco), and I need to talk to an MFC app. The service sends messages to the MFC app and the MFC app sends messages to the server as well. I was using a named pipe before, and I'm having some trouble when the MFC app shuts down, to reconnect to the service. Any ideas what's the best way to reconnect?
i.e., should I send a message to the service saying I'm shutting down and then the service can reinitialize the named pipe? Note that there is only one of the MFC apps (no 2 instances)...
