Question : What is the DOS path for Windows 7 My Documents?
What is the DOS path for Windows 7 My Documents?
I have a user working in a stand alone environment who needs to backup files. Due to security constraints, this user was using a bat file under windows xp to copy the c:\documents and settings\user\my documents directory. This was working successfully.
Now the user has windows 7. The bat file has been edited and changed to c:\users\user\documents and nothing gets copied.
Does anyone know the DOS path to the windows 7 documents or my documents directory?
Answer : What is the DOS path for Windows 7 My Documents?
Well, here's at least one idea. pick a file in the GUI My Documents and go out to the command prompt. type in the attached command at the C:\> prompt and see where it shows up, then navigate to there and see if it shows up.
