Question : Reading data off Raid 0

Ok.  BIG problem. I have a Dell XPS 600 and there was a lightening strike. I had my computer plugged into a UPS, however, for whatever reason, the ethernet was not. The strike went through the ethernet cable and fried my board. Now I had my computer setup in a RAID 0 array.

I was able to take out the hard drives and they turn on, but I can't see the data. I know that is because of the RAID though.

So... my question is, how can I get that data off those drives? I am actually purchasing the exact same motherboard online. If I connect that mobo will it work just fine? Afterward I am defintily switching to either a RAID 1 or RAID 5.

I just want to make sure that purchasing the same motherboard will allow me to access the data. And if that doesn't work, then what can I do? I NEED the data.

Thanks

Answer : Reading data off Raid 0

As you probably know, if there's a problem with either drive, your data is toast.

The best you can hope for it ordering the same motherboard and hope the RAID controller can read the array config from the drives.

If that doesn't work, you may be looking at Spinrite or other services to recover the data.
