Question : Microsoft SharePoint Foundation search server option is grayed out.

I'm trying to select a search server for my content database.  But the option is grayed out.  I've verified that the SharePoint Foundations Search V4 it started.  I also verified the Full-text Filter Daemon is running on the SQL Server 2008 R2 where the content database is stored.

Not really my area of expertise, but seeing as you havent had too many responses, though I might "kick start" some conversation....

You sure osearch is up and running  -  stsadm -o spsearch -action start
