Question : Apple Mail Notes keep reappearing after deletion

Steps to reproduce problem:

1. Open Apple Mail on my MacBook.
2. Under the reminders, I click on one of the little yellow notes that I don't need any more and hit the delete key (it moves to the trash)
3. I go in to the Mail Trash folder, and empty it.
4. A few days later, I notice that the deleted note is back in there!

This problem only occurs with notes that were created (accidentally) in Notes/Greg's Gmail notes. The notes that I create in Notes/On My Mac work fine and sync to the iPhone, etc.

Here is a screen shot. Somehow these notes got stuck in "Greg's Gmail" notes. The notes "On my MAC" are the ones that sync with the iPhone and work all nice. But these ones in Gmail, just don't go away. I delete them, empty my deleted items. But as soon as I close and reopen mail.app they're right back there

Answer : Apple Mail Notes keep reappearing after deletion

It turns out that Compatability Mode causes issues with Facebook's Recent Activity Widget, so it really is not a viable option for us as we use both Recent Activity widgets and Like Boxes on the same page. In addition, Facebook appears to be making progress in addressing the issue with the Like Box. Based on the fact that after several days the only offerred solution does not address our actual request, I have to assume that there is no way to dynamicaly activate the Compatability Mode button.
