Question : How do I avoid double quotation marks by using comma in Acrobat Acrobat v.9.x

We have a tools that will add metadata (title, author, subject, and keywords) to 160,000 PDF files using XMP. Whenever I am inputting a list of authors separated by commas, like this: Office, Branch it will end up like: "Office, Branch" with quotation marks. The only way I can avoid it is to use dash (-), but we would like to preserve it by using commas. Is it a bug ? Any tips?

Excel is the reason you are getting this then, it could be due to the default delimiter in Windows being the comma. Try the following to change it - you can put it back to the comma when you are finished. I don't know if this will work but it's worth trying I guess!

In XP, click the Windows Start menu.
Click Control Panel.
Open the Regional and Language Options dialog box.
Click the Regional Options Tab.
Click Customize.
Type a new separator in the List separator box, such as bar | or hash #
Click OK twice.

All your programs will now default to the new delimiter. Make sure you restart your applications/computer to ensure the change is applied.
