Question : SQL Server instance just disappeared
I'm running SQL Express on my Win Server 2008 R2. I hadn't touched the server in a few weeks, then needed to run some SQL queries. When I try to connect to the Database Engine, as I normally do, it can't find the Server SQLEXPRESS. I've been able to connect this way for months, and all of a sudden it can't find it.
When I try to browse to the server, NO servers show up in the Local Servers list. Yet my web page is still able to pull data.
Please help!
