Question : Importing an ESX 3.5u5 machine into VMWare Workstation 7. RAM not expandable past 3600MB?
I am trying to open a ESXi 3.5 update 5 machine in VMWare Workstation 7. The machine is a Windows Server 2003 64-bit machine. When I open the machine it gives me a vmware memory error stating that I can not have more than 3600MB of memory on the machine. The machine as it is has 4096MB in ESXi 3.5. I don't believe it is a 32-bit/64-bit confusion as I can create a new x64 machine and assign up to 32GB of memory to it. Has anyone ran into this?

It has a 4GB memory limit, according to the link I provided, so yes...it's the Workstation host OS.
