Question : Cisco "Do wr" does not work in "conf t" mode or any other sub-mode

Hello All,

I have recently upgraded the IOS on a Cisco 2801 and since doing so have been unable to carry out "do wr" in the routers "conf t" mode.

Example is:

tst-rtr-001(config)#do wr
                       ^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

If I try:

tst-rtr-001(config)#do show run

This function works...Has anyone come across this problem before ?

Thanks,

Yes it's been also copy run start for years, but most of us “old timers” use WR because it saves a lot of typing.
We all know on exams and other similar things we must use the copy run start to copy the running configuration to the startup configuration.
