Question : How to delete "Clean Registry for Free"
I am trying to help a friend whos daughter has downloaded some various programs trying to get rid of some trojans on her machine. I have been able to help after going through various things including installing and running Malwarbytes, CCleaner, SuperAntispyware and AVG.
I just can't get rid of the "Clean Registry for Free" that keeps popping up on the desktop as an icon even after I have sent it to the recycle bin and I have also tried to delete by going into my computer and then to programs and then to Advance Registry Optimizer that apparantly is published by Sammsoft and installed on the computer on 11-14-09.
Yes, I know that is a different name than the icon but that is what I have determined to be the program. At any rate, I then go to the uninstall but it just bring up a litte box that says "Don't go just yet Get Advanced Registry Optimizer for Free with TrialPay then gives me a box to get it free or I can go to the box to close. Obviousy I don't want the free program. I am convinced this a trojan or something as I just can't get rid of it. What do I need to do?
