Question : SQL reporting services error in sharepoint integrated mode. Shared data source not valid
I recently did an "attach database migration" from MOSS 2007 to Sharepoint 2010. All went well except migrating the reporting services databases. Everytime I click a report link, i get the following error below. I took out the database name from the error.
The report server cannot process the report or shared dataset. The shared data source '<databasename>' for the report server or SharePoint site is not valid. Browse to the server or site and select a shared data source. (rsInvalidDataSourceRefere
nce)
I created the data connection within Sharepoint. Not really sure where to look from here. Its a sharepoint web front end with a SQL 2008 R2 back end. Thanks!
Answer : SQL reporting services error in sharepoint integrated mode. Shared data source not valid
I ended up calling microsoft support. The view was corrupt during the migration. So I didn't have the drop down box to change the data source for the reports. Now i have the capability. Yes I did migrate reporting services. Thanks
