Question : are there any inherent issues introducing a server 2008 system into a predominantly 2003 network?

Hi There,

we need to implement a server that will run NONE of the usual server tasks (dns, DC, file server, any of it) it is purely as a one-task system (which is completely un-windows related).
my question is are there any problems with introducing a windows 2008 (foundation edition) into a mainly server 2003 network?
there are also a couple of server 2000 machines running, but again, all the important stuff is done by the 2003 machines.

please let me know asap as I need to order today!!

thanks!

Hi

I think you will have to get back to square one. And for that you need your initial installation CDs

First follow this to uninstall A8 completely:
http://go.adobe.com/kb/ts_kb400658_en-us

Then download the update that you want from here, if you don't want to upgrade to 8.2 only select 8.1 and then disable automatic update in preferences:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows

You should install at least 8.1 as this fixes quite a few issues.
