Question : Unable to logon to new TSM 6.1 Server "TSM Server1" instance Windows Server starting then stopping!

Hi,

Just returned from the graveyard shift and decided do some additonal testing on our new TSM 6.1 Server. The Database Migration compleated successfully although it did take about 5 days to complete!

I was unable to logon to the server using remote desktop so I got one of the other operators to go down to the Data Centre manually reboot the Server.

I was able to logon to Server with remote desktop and was able to logon to the ISC console. However I'm unable to connect to the TSM Server.

I launched the windows services and noticed that the TSM Server1 windows instance keeps stopping about 30 seconds after I start the service!

Can somebody please help me I'm unable to logon to the TSM Server anymore.

glad that your migration succeeded. Congrats.

Unfortunately I don't have much time at the moment, and moreover, I'm not very familiar with TSM on Windows.

You definitely will have to check the server's error log file. I strongly assume that this will already show you the crucial point.

Locate the file dsmsvc.err and examine its contents!

I'll be back in a few hours. Maybe you could post what you found.
