Question : make opera mini 5 my default browser

I want to make opera mini 5 my default browser...when I click links in emails, Twitter, etc.  I want opera mini 5 to open up rather then IE or (slow) Opera Mobile.  Its just faster.

I don't know if there is such a thing as 'default' browser under Windows Mobile, but you might try to change few registry keys under HKCR where file associations are defined, such as for "htm", "html" etc etc.
