Question : How to add safe senders in Outlook 2003 Junk filter using GPO
hi, i want to add a domain into safe sender list under Outlook > tools > options > preferences > junk email > safe senders, and wish to use group policy for that.
i have added a user under a test OU, and added a GPO and imported the office 2003 administrative template. i have configured the following two options:
'overwrite or append junk mail import list' = disabled
'specify path to safe senders list' = have added the path and enabled it
Now, the client machine despite gpupdate doesnt import the safe senders file. When i do it manually on the client Outlook it works fine. I've come across links like these (below) which recommend changing the registry key for the safe senders list import to work. i have tried creating a custom adm file but no luck

Can someone please advise if there is an easier way of using group policy to client outlook 2003s to import safe senders?
thanks

No probs - it is useful to check the links just in case the solution you are putting forward is the same, although links go bad, so posting the answer is a valid option, especially as I didn't bother to expand on the comment ; )
