Question : Newsletter emails stuck in qmail queue
We send out our newsletter to around 13000 people. Recently people have been complaining that they haven't received it until a few days after it was sent (which as we do special 24hr offers that's not great!).
Having sent a newsletter yesterday, I've just looked in the qmail queue and there are still 2510 emails in there waiting to be sent. But it is going down extremely slowly.
Using top command, CPU load and memory usage are both negligible. Running Ubuntu 6.06.2.
Any ideas why these emails aren't being sent?
Answer : Newsletter emails stuck in qmail queue
If you're sending thru a normal ISP, they are probably limiting the number of emails you can send per hour or per day. Ubuntu 6.06.2 is kind of old now.
