Question : Internet searches getting redirected to advertising websites

I'm having an issue running searches on the internet. I'm using internet explorer 8. It doesn't matter what search engine i use. When i do a search, the results come back just fine. However, any link that i click on will take me to an advertisment or some other random website.

As soon as i click on a link, the browsers address changes to http://www.etheitbewms.net/?n=1273767482

Then it jumps to another random advertising website.

Initially i though it was a virus. So i ran both AVG and Norton antivirus and it found nothing.
Then i ran Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad Aware, and Malwarebytes... each one of these found a few things and deleted them successfully.

I went ahead and restored my IE to all the defaults, cleared the cache, cookies, etc....

However the problem did not go away. Any idea on what can be causing this?

Thanks,

No need to unplug the router or modem, this is a Windows issue.

Uninstall Tune-Up Utilities 2010, Ad-Aware, and Symantec if you are no longer using it
