Question : How can I sync up two web servers using Windows Server 2008 or thus Windows Server 2008 has this function?

Hi Guys,

I have 2 web servers running on Windows Server 2008. Currently I have an issue where when I upload contents and images on Web Server 1, I will need to manually upload them on Web Server 2 so that both servers have the same files. This is getting to be too tedious.

Is there a build in solutions in Windows Server 2008 which can allow me to automatically sync up the files on Web server 1 to 2 and vice versa in real time?

Thanks and cheers for now.

If you were using Shared storage like SAN or a network share then this wouldn't have been a problem

We have used a utility called "Allwaysync"
http://allwaysync.com/

You can setup a sync job on your webserver 2, to sync from webserver-1

It has quite a few features, support is nice and they respond, you can setup sync jobs in a way that it will either delete the files which are not on webserver-1 and are on webserver-2 or it can move deleted files to a specified folder, same with modifications.

give it a go on a test box and it should be useful in your situation.

Hope that helps
