Question : SBS2008  - Exchange not receiving emails

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help, I've configured Exchange using the SBS2008 Internet Address Management wizard in exactly the way outlined here:

http://blogs.technet.com/sbs/archive/2008/10/16/introducing-the-internet-address-management-wizard-part-2-of-3.aspx

I don't use one of the approved domains (GoDaddy etc.), so I opted to manage the domain name manually, following the steps outlined in scenario 2b, with my domain's MX record pointing at my fixed IP address.

Unfortunately, I can send emails from my mailboxes but not receive them. I have opened the relevant ports on my router and am a bit stumped. The test gmail account I send from gets the following bounce-back message:

If anyone can offer any advice on why it's not working and where to go from here I'd be very grateful.

Many thanks

Karl

Answer : SBS2008  - Exchange not receiving emails

Karl
Can you run a small test.

Open your gmail account and try adding your company email-address as a POP3 account.

Also go here
www.mxtoolbox.com and run SMTP diagnostics and other tests.

Also you can go here to test your exchange email connectivity.
https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/

Thanks
