Question : HP Mini 1000 - Unable to boot
Turn on my laptop and I get this message:
reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key
Verified No USB drives plugged in.
Went to bios and boot order only shows the HDD. HDD name identified. So the BIOS is recognizing the HDD.
Put windows 7 DVD in my external DVD drive to run start-up repair and it says it found a problem, tries to fix and is unable to. (go figure)
I assume this is a problem with the MBR ? How would I go to fix this?

try a system restore then, when booted from the DVD
