Question : Netware 5.1 : RIP router configuration error detected

Greetings,

we are using a Netware 5.1 server and had a crash this night. I don't know if it is related but since a few hours I get following error on the monitor console :

18/05/2010   7:35:43 :    IPXRTR-6.70-2
   Severity = 1
   RIP router configuration error detected.
    Node 0015609C4A1A claims network address 00000003 should be 780D2BEE.

This error is showing up every minutes. Don't know what to do with that.

Answer : Netware 5.1 : RIP router configuration error detected

According to this:
http://www.coffer.com/mac_find/?string=00-15
001560xxxxxx MAC address belongs to a Hewlett-Packard device.
Look for
- most likely a HP printserver [or network printer] - and reboot it, or
- less likely a HP workstation running NT/W2K/XP with IPX and having an own IPX number set.

You can also issue a TRACK ON on the server to see RIP/SAP communication screen
(use TRACK OFF to switch off, and RESET ROUTER to reset the internal router table and restart advertise/gather again)
[see RESET ROUTER section at http://support.novell.com/techcenter/articles/ann20010801.html for more on this]
