Question : How do I remove a group from my groups list in a sharepoint site

I am using WSS 2007 and I removed a group from a site but it still shows up in the groups list for that site (in the upper left area of the screen when looking at the people and groups page).  I think it's still there because of creating the site with that group in the first place. Now I have removed it but it still shows up in the groups list.

Click Groups on the left.  Then under Settings you can edit your Groups quick launch menu.
