Question : Report Excel from asp.net page

How can I approac the following :

I have an asp.net application which receives the data for a survey daily. I need to give the admin the ability to see and Excel file daily with how many yes , no, or n/a questions were answered daily. I am thinking on having a gridview and export fucntionality to Excel, but would this be the best approach, I know there are other services such as sql reporting, but would this be able to generate daily xls files with the results of the survey???
