Question : ORA-01578: ORACLE data block corrupted   - ON A NEW Oracle database installation Windows 2008 32-bit

We have recently installed Oracle 10g database Standard edition (10.2.0.3) on the following server:

Dell PowerEdge 64-bit hardware
Microsoft Windows 2008 Standard edition 32-bit Operating System.

Its a brand new installation.

We have downloaded the Oracle db installation from oracle website( Oracle 10g for Windows 2008/Vista)

After the installation we have been getting this error, sometime when we perform any database queries:

=====================

ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-01578: ORACLE data block corrupted (file # 1, block # 55781)
ORA-01110: data file 1: 'T:\POWERERP\ORADATA\MIC\SYSTEM01.DBF'
==============================

 Questions:

1.  Is this related to any OS disk file corruption ?

2.  How do I check if its something wrong with database installation files ? or the OS disk itself ?

Any tools or utilities which would help me check this .

Answer : ORA-01578: ORACLE data block corrupted   - ON A NEW Oracle database installation Windows 2008 32-bit

OK, I'm confused.  These statements do not seem to be the same:

"when I am hired new" and "I got a job for oracle Dba remote working"

Are you looking for what to ask once you show up for your first day of work?

If so, you should already have a good idea what the duties are going to be.  I'd definitely ask for any corporate policies/standards as it pertains to your work.   There are ALWAYS several ways to do the same 'thing'.  Many shops have standardized.

Confirm this is what you are asking and I'll see if I can come up with anything more.
