Question : setting up port monitoring on a Dell PowerConnect switch
I have a Dell PowerConnect 3448P switch, and I would like to set up Port Monitoring on it. I tried following the instructions in the user guide - I selected a destination port, and then added several source ports. However, the "status" of each of the source ports continues to show as "notReady". What am I missing? (I don't have any experience with this, so it's quite possible I'm missing something obvious.) Any help would be appreciated.
Answer : setting up port monitoring on a Dell PowerConnect switch
The Dell web documentation mentions the ports all have to be in the same VLAN and there is a note about source and destination ports being in the same range of ports like 1-24 or 25-48. I don't know if those restrictions still apply.
