Question : Cannot connet to internet via wireless but can connect via hardwire

I have a Compaq laptop that I can connect to the internet via hardwire but when I try to connect wireless I get message "Internet Explorer could not open the search page".  I have excellent signal strength on wireless and have tried another laptop and it connects with no problem. I need to connect wireless and I don't know what else to check.  Running WinXP. Any suggestions?

Your wireless adapter is setup with a static IP.  Either you need to enter a static DNS server as well in the adapter config or set it to automaticalkly obtain an address.

Either way you should have no trouble once one of those is done.
