Question : How to convert / rip .mov movie video to DVD format

My videocam supports only .mov format (as saved into SDHC / SD card).

I need to burn this into DVD for it to be playable by my dedicated LG DVD player.

Appreciate a step by step instruction (& name me a few ripper software that can
do this) to rip / convert .mov format to a format readable / playable by my DVD

You don't 'rip' frim flash cards -- and there's no need to convert .mov before making DVDs. You simply drop the mov file into any DVD authoring software -- even the commercial ones like Nero or Roxio etc and press 'make DVD' or 'make movie' or whatever they say.
