Question : Exchange Mailbox behaviour on Disabled accounts
Hi All
We have and AD / Exchange 2003 Environment, All domain controllers are Win 2003.
When we disable accounts we also hide the account from the GAL so that generally sops people internally sending to it, however if people from outside of our company send email to the account they then get a NDR, is it possible to change this.
We do get requests for putting Out Of Office messages on accounts when people leave, however i have found if we disable the account users then get a NRD back anyways so at the moment we leave the accounts enabled but i would rather not do this.
Thanks
Nick
Answer : Exchange Mailbox behaviour on Disabled accounts
This is addressed in a hotfix (included in one of the service packs too)

After the update, disabled accounts still receive messages.
