Question : Remote Desktop Services Windows 2008 R2
Hello All,
I recently implemented a RDS server farm with 6 Remote Desktop Servers (Remote Desktop Session Hosts) in it – all RDSH servers are virtualized using Hyper-V and are spread between 4 Virtual Hosts (HP Blade). I’m using Windows Load-Balancing to spread the load between all 6 servers. All 6 VM’s have are Win 2008 R2, 10GB of RAM and have (4) 2.40GHZ Xeon’s configured. They are also part of a Hyper-V fail-over cluster sitting on an CSV on my LeftHand SAN. They all have Office 2007 Enterprise, SEP 11.06 and are fully patched.
My Question/Issue:
When the load between all servers reach about 200 plus, users complain that it gets really slow and sluggish. I’ve noticed that each server has around 30-40 session and is using about 20-25% of cpu utilization and about 4GB of memory.
Any suggestion? What should I be looking for? Is this expected behavior with that kind of load?
Thanks in advance for your commments and help.
