Question : hibernate still needs power?
does a pc on hibernate still need to be connected to electricity to maintain the hibernation? or can it totally disconnected from electricity for an indefinite time?
thanks
Answer : hibernate still needs power?
No need power because it is storing the contents of memory (the system state with open data) data in a file in the HDD. While you restart the PC, the bios locates this files and loads the system with the state it was in while hibernating.
