Question : Windows 2003 server VPN client need access to Internet via server

Hi,

I've got a Windows 2003 server with a single NIC in a datacentre running RRAS.

I've got clients that can connect to the server and access it, but the moment they connect they cannot access the internet.

At the moment

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb878117.aspx

Describes a way to use Classless Static Routes in the DHCP options but I can't seem to get IP addresses given out via the full blown DHCP app only the mini form that comes with configuring DHCP in RRAS.

There are options for removing the tick box to use gateway on remote network.  However this is no good as I want the simplest installation possible on the client machines.

Thanks

Karl

Are the Win7 clients 64bit? Just thinking it may not work on 64 bit.

Gateway and subnet mask are correct, though I don't know if you can set them with the CMAK kit. That was why I thought it was worth trying.
-Mask is always 255.255.255.255 (indicates 1 IP only)
-If Gateway is set to 0.0.0.0 it means "use remote default gateway" is checked.  0.0.0.0 = all thus send all traffic via the PPP adapter
[If gateway is set to the same IP as the PPP/VPN adapter (10.1.1.1 in your case) it means "use remote default gateway" is  not checked. Send only 10.1.1.0/24 traffic via the PPP adapter
