Question : Host file changes after entry is made
We have a VPN connection with a customer. We need to access a customer intranet application. So we modified the host file to resolve the intranet application to an IP address. This worked perfectly. However, after about 10 minutes of use, the browser gets an error in connecting to the application. If you then open the host file, the entry that was made to the host file is gone. We currently have 3 entries in the host file. The 127.0.0.1, an entry to a server on a different subnet and this entry for the customer intranet application. When the host entry disappears, the first two are still there, only the new entry for this intranet application is missing. How can we stop this.
