Question : Proliant DL380 G5 end of support

Hi,

I'm looking at a server refresh and have some newer DL380 G5 servers to consider whether we keep as is or refresh. I've scoured google and the HP site for end of support dates, I found that the DL380 G5 is classed as end of life - my understanding is that this means this model is no longer manufactured but is still maintainable and will have spares available until end of support.

With Microsoft I can easily find end of support dates but HP seems to be a different matter. Does anyone have a silver bullet that allows me to find out end of support dates for HP servers?

TIA

The Windows 7 roaming profile will be listed as user.name.v2 whereas the older XP profile will be listed as user.name (or however your usernames are setup).

The two profiles aren't compatible and won't roam to each O/S, so you'll have to maintain two I'm afraid. Same issue for me now that we've rolled out Windows 7 with users on Citrix and Win2K3 Server.
