Question : WSS 3.0 create new configuration database on new SQL server

Experts,

I recently migrated my content database from the WSS 3.0 default SQL Express \ windows internal database to a new SQL 2008 server database.

The server I migrated from still has the configuration database on there and is dying fast. can someone give me the steps to create a new configuration database on my new SQL server?
