Question : Accessing both the internet, local network and a remote site at the same time

On our local network. We have a leaseline for internet access and also a PIX501 to access a remote site. We can never can simultaneous access to both the internet and the remote site at the same time. In order to access of the networks, we have to be changing the IPs all the time which seems to be very tedious. Is there anyway we can configure the network to know that whenever there is a request to access the remote site it should automatically route it to the PIX IP without us having to change the gateway.?

Answer : Accessing both the internet, local network and a remote site at the same time

route add 192.168.4.0 mask 255.255.255.0 IP_ADDRESS_OF_PIX metric 1

^^ something like that on one client to test, then do a tracert to the remote site and see what happens.

Thats all assuming that the remote site router/PIX knows how to route traffic back to you... you may need some routes at the remote side too pointing back at your office network.
