Question : Emails in Exchange Server

I accidently deleted a users account in my active directory.  Well when I did that it also deleted the email.  I set it back up but all the old emails were lost.  Where on the email server are they stored so I can get them off of the back up?  I am using Exchange server 2003.

For Exchange 2007, in the Exchange Management Console, look under Recipients/Disconnected Mailboxes and see if it's there.
