Question : OpenDNS some need full access

I know this has been answered before but this is a twist. I know OpenDNS filters by setting machines to use its DNS. Simply changing the DNS will bypass it. I am getting ready to setup the free version for a school. They want to allow the teachers and staff to to access more content such as facebook than the kids can on the lab computers. Most of the teacher and staff machines are laptops so that rules out setting static DNS addresses for them. What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

Answer : OpenDNS some need full access

The simplest is to use your DHCP server and statically assign IP addresses to the machines that are allowed full access, then in those DHCP entries you can specify a different DNS server from the default on the network.

How you do this will depend on what DHCP server you use but most allow you to do static assignments based on the MAC address of the network interface of the client machine.
