Question : CISCO IP PHONES POWER CONSUMPTION THROUGH CAT5
We're moving all of our voice equipment into a single server rack and want to have it backed up with a rack mountable UPS device. My question is this.....The phones are powered by the CAT5 cables, and the CAT5 cables powered by a Cisco catalyst 500 switch. To figure power consumption of the phones, is there a formula per phone or do I just use the 90WATT max load that the switch uses?
