well the main reason for an LCD not being used any more is the size/resolution, if you take this into consideration when doing the life span then it would be about 3/4 years.
If you mean how long will it last for before it breaks well ive got one that ive had since they came mainstream here at work its 15" and still going strong must be about 5/6 years old
