Question : Hyperlink issues

Hello all,

I have had issues with hyperlinking using sharepoint recently.  Today I'm trying to create 4 quick links that will become shortcuts for some deeper folders within a library.  I copy the url of the folder location and then paste it into the quick links section and it doesn't link up correctly.  I've tried numerous variations of the copied url, but it doesn't link to the folder.
Any help would be amazing.
