Question : Software to manage file sharing
I'm currently trying to share files between two computers - an XP laptop and a Win7 desktop. It's a total nightmare. Last week it was working; nothing I know of has changed, and now it's not working again.
Rather than asking a question about how to fix it, my question is this: is there a piece of software on the market that can simplify the process of sharing between two machines? Presumably it would be able to manage workgroups and that type of thing. I imagine you'd want it installed on both machines, that's no problem, these are just my own two computers in my house I'm trying to share between.
I'm definitely not talking about peer-to-peer software, I'm asking for a sharing manager of some kind. And I'm not asking for free software because this issue is so massively irritating I'm more than willing to pay to fix it!
Thanks in advance for any pointers.
