Question : Windows XP "Stored User Names and Passwords" disappear after restart
Hi Experts
We have a Microsoft Server 2003 R2 Domain, and are trying to get a non domain Windows XP Pro SP3 notebook to connect to it.
Normally we enter the users specific user name and password for network access into "Stored user Names and Passwords". This allows the user to still access network shares and printers, even though their notebook is not a member of the domain. This has worked for the 70+ other notebooks we have done this for.
However with this notebook, every time you restart, the information disappears.
You can re-enter the credentials and it will work fine as long as you don't restart. Once you do the credentials are gone.
Any possible solutions would be greatly appreciated.
