Question : Can HP and Cisco switches talk to eachother over fiber interfaces?

We have a customer with a rack of Cisco switches slated for replacement. They have already replaced switches in thier IDF's with newer model Cisco switches and have fiber connections to some of the old switches in the rack slated for replacement. They would like to replace the old Cisco rack with Procurves. So the question is....will the new HP's be able to talk to the Cisco switches in the IDF's using SFP Gb Sx fiber modules assuming that the new HP switches will also have SFP Gb Sx fiber modules?
