Question : Set focus on text box and enter data from barcode scanner with on each new scan

Experts,

I have a Wasp WLS9500 barcode scanner.

I have a text box (txtManufactureNo) in the form header of a continuous form. I have a me.requery in the after update event. We the user scans an item, the the corresponding item pops up fine (Forms!frmInventory_Main!txtManufacureNo is in the criteria of the control source).

I'd like for the current data in txtManufactureNo to be deleted and the newly scanned item number to appear in txtManufactureNo on each new scan. I guess the focus would have to be shifted to txtManufactureNo, the data deleted, and then new data added.

 I have no idea how to tell when a new scan has taken place.
