In Symantec Backup Exec 12, how can I create a brand new backup policy that will backup everything to an external USB hard drive?

When I go through the new job backup creation wizard, the only job backup destination option that I see available is to backup to the existing tape backup device (which is where all of the backup jobs have currently been backing up to).

Now I need to be able to change this backup source to backup to the external USB hard drive.

How can I make this change within Symantec Backup Exec 12 when I define and create the new backup jobs?

The way to do this is simple connect your external hard drive to your server.
Do the following...
- Open BE 12
- Click Device Tab
- Under Backup to Disk Folders, Right click and select "Backup to disk Wizard"
- Go through the wizard and create a new backup to disk folder
- At the end of the wizard point this new folder to your external hard drive
*Now the B2D folder is created

- Open BE 12
- Click on Job Setup Tab
- Right Click the job you want to change, select properties
- Under Destination, Click Device and Media
- Left hand side, under Device select your B2D folder you just created

You will need to do the second step for all of the jobs you have to point to your new B2D folder.

Hope this helps~!
